Don and I are about to enter into “anniversary week” and I realize that a)I have been married for almost a year– what?! and b) that I need to finish posting our wedding pics!! This is the next to last batch: the reception details. The last set (which I’ll schedule to post on Monday, when we head for more tropical climes for our anniversary trip) is actually my favorite– it was our day after session. But I’m pretty fond of this set, too :
As always, big thanks to our photographer, Sam Hassas for rocking it out!
We had a mix of white and yellow florals on my tabletop– I was very specific and sent the floral designer on the Four Seasons Property, Flowers by Heidi, a really detailed document with all the things I wanted and the style I wanted on the table, and they were gracious enough to endure my particular-ness and they met me the day before to go over all the flowers they had shipped in and had locally– it was awesome. We used my favorite blooms: yellow tree peonies and white phaleaneopsis orchids, along with garden roses, hydrangea, and spray roses with dusty miller. The center table sign was penned by Laura Hooper of Laura Hooper Calligraphy
Walking into the reception– I love this shot
Our menu cards were mounted on gunmetal shimmer paper and accented with yellow Yuzumi paper– the same we used on our envelope liners. The table linen was a gray pintuck from Premier Table Linens.
A long view of the table: I just loved the color.
I got these vintage napkins on Etsy and had the design staff accent them with yellow baker’s twine. I own the silver chargers and used those to add depth– and the ladies at Flowers by Heidi added a sweet litte mini-nosegay to each placesetting

Our guestbook was a rare bottle of Maker’s Mark Gold– a present I got for the groom early in our courtship. Our guests signed with silver pens.
The setup. So pretty.
I was really nervous about the table. It was the one thing I was nervous about, honestly because I wasn’t the one setting it up– but I was so relieved and happy over how it turned out
Our cake. I loved it. They did a wonderful job execution of my vision— it was beautiful and delicious!
First Dance (to Joshua Radin’s “They Bring Me to You” It was a perfect night. Stay tuned Monday for our day after shoot
