Last Spring, we went out to a lovely photoshoot captured by Kristyn Hogan styled by Latrice with Opulent Couturier at Front Porch Farms. The look: rustic and natural, with a vintage couture vibe. The Bride Room provided the gorgeous dresses, Amber Housley with Sweet Life Designs provided the paper goods, and Cakes by Shara did the adorb. cake.

Front Porch Farms is a lovely home and wedding venue outside of Nashville. The colors: gray, white, and greens, with a touch of blue:

This beautiful bridesmaid dress is from Amsale: love!

Anemone, rannunculas, cream stock, orchids, callas and more composed this bouquet

Green trachellium + button mums are paired with a lace wrap and a sweet vintage bumble bee pin

Love this image! Kristyn Hogan rocks!!

Delightfully rustic touches with ti-leaf loops, thistle, and twine.

And for the guys… wild & wonderful buttonholes with greens, twigs, and pussy willow

Stay tuned for more lovely tomorrow with the tabletop flowers!

  1. Where I’ve Been All Week and Organization Challenge Recap | TheSavedRunner

[...] These are not the flowers we will be using, I just googled yellow and gray wedding flowers so I could put a picture here. Source [...]

It’s post-snow-apocalypse here in Nashville, and my main route to the studio has been closed down, so I’m sitting at home, staring out the window, wishing I were at the studio playing with pretty flowers…yay, Mother Nature! In spite of this, I thought that it might be fun to showcase a sweet Valentine’s tablescape that I did along with Donald Yeager Photography that was featued on Elizabeth Anne Designs this past week.

The concept: a  vintage-inspired, Valentine’s day sweetheart table. I wanted soft, pretty, ruffly flowers with an aspect of burgeoning spring from branches, late winter tulips, and bursts of bright colors through pink peonies & red spray roses. We picked this spot (right in front of an abandoned farm house and framed by an ancient tree) as a spot to set the scene. I thought this could be a perfect, romantic setting for a couple in love that wanted a sweet getaway for Valentines:

I’m obsessed with eyelit right now…

Silver chargers + blue and white antique china from my grandmother’s collection + an eyelit plate make for a lovely placesetting– complemented with a ruffly napkin and a red “rose” napkinring. The cutlery was bount with soft ribbon & a rose bud

The edge of the table was complemented with a variety of vintage glass pieces filled with flowers: roses, peonies, heather, amaryllis, pussy willow,  tulips, and “broccoli” carnations

Our sweet treats were little strawberry tarts:

Hopefully this shoot warms your heart up some :) Happy snow day!
