Last spring, Maggie and Chip were wed on a Friday afternoon at Belle Meade Plantation. Their original plan was to marry outdoors in the Boxwood Gardens, but rainy weather put a halt to those plans, and instead moved their sweet ceremony into a tent right off the carriage house.

Bride Maggie wanted a wedding that incorporated her colors– orange, blue, and cream — along with natural elements of mossy green and branch brown. I came up with this inspiration board to reflect the style of her day:

Thanks to Derek Lee of Affordable Wedding Photography for the images:

The bride carried a bouquet of calla lilies:

The handle was wrapped in a rich rust colored wrap, then embellished with a sweet Cameo brooch:

Her maid of honor carried a smaller version of her bouquet:

Beautiful bride Maggie wore an orchid blossom in her hair:

And groom Chip wore a calla lily boutonniere:

The two married in a sweet ceremony flanked by two candelabra with candles & Moss and flowers:

And they walked down an aisle lined with rustic pew markers:

Before the ceremony, Maggie went out to capture some images in her gorgeous dress with an umbrella– I love this picture:

And the adorable ring bearer carried a sweet moss-covered ring pillow, adorb!:

For the tables: we had three designs for Maggie and Chip’s Carriage House reception. The bride’s mom made these fabulous runners from ivory burlap, and out first design was a cluster of bottles and vases:

The second series were black iron lanterns with floral bases:

And the third was a tall centerpiece with moss, curly willow, orchids, and tulips:

And a few other details….the cocktail tables with mason jars filled with moss and accented with candles and scattered blossoms:

The guest book table flowers & an attendant wearing a rustic corsage:

The cookie favors:

The beautiful cake by the Sweetest Day:

I had such a delightful time working with Maggie and Chip– a truly wonderful couple. Maggie never once got ruffled by the fact that rain put a damper on her original wedding day plans. She was graceful, beautiful, and insanely happy to be marrying the man of her dreams. Her mom and family were such a joy to work with– I think that most of them had a hand in creating the handcrafted cookie favors, the signs, and of course her mom’s burlap runners. It’s amazing to get to work with such a fun family and sweet bride & groom.

The morning after her wedding, Maggie sent me this sweet email that I am so happy to share with you: “Hillary-You did an AMAZING job! I couldn’t believe how great the carriage house and tent looked. Thank you so much for everything. Chip and I had a blast last night.” I treasure those words and am so glad that Maggie and Chip had as much fun as I did with their wedding. Congrats, you two– every best to you both!
