Today, I got an email letting me know I’d been nominated for best Florist in Nashville in the Toast of Music City– woah, what an honor– and whomever nominated me, THANK YOU! It’s one of those times that saying “getting nominated is better than winning” because, oh-my-g0odness, it totally is!! If you want to vote for me, you can, by following this link to brocade as the best florist in nashville

While there, you may want to vote for some other wonderful peeps (you can find yourself on here for hours– beware), like Ashley’s Bride Guide for Best Blog (it so is, you know it, so vote!) if you were engaged this year and love your ring, vote for the jewelery store it came from if you’re married and just bought your new house and <3′d your agent, be sure to vote or nominate them and if you know all there is to know about  the Nashville who’s who you may want to vote on the geekiest, most stylish, or most successful– if you can vote for it, then it’s probably an option.

So, to my nomination angel, thanks again for making my day– and be sure to vote on your favorites, or do a little angel nominations of your own!

I confess, if there was a twelve-step program called “interneters anonymous” i’d probably be a card-carrying member. I have a mild obsession with the interwebs, particularly blogs, and I read them with a fierce voracity. I often bookmark and make little notes like “that’s neat,” or “must visit again” or add them to my Google Reader, which has something like 1,000 posts I’ve not yet read. Mostly because I’ve gone to the actual blogs and read them and forgot to update Google Reader.

Every so often, I come across a little gem that I fall in love with and have to tell the world about, regardless if you’ve already discovered it :) Today’s latest obsession: The Etsy Wedding

This great little blog features really cool finds from, where else– ETSY! The best place in the world if you have a bazillion dollars and a love for craft products (I only have one of the aforementioned items). I stumbled upon this post– all about using music in your wedding and the personal way music can be used. Some great items (all etsy made and manufactured) that i loved:

Love Song Paper Strips:: A paper chain with lyrics to a love song:: how sweet!

A Perfect Place for those First Dance Song Lyrics

I also love, love, love these tiny musical hearts–  They’d look too cute spread out all over the cake table instead of petals:

These hearts are cut from vintage sheet music-- how neat!

But my most favorite– the musical tea lights : this is just such a great idea, and so beautiful and unique:
